The Share Foundation is a not-for-profit, privately funded, Christian organization. Our mission is to provide residential living, services and support programs for other-abled adults in a peaceful and loving Midwestern community. We strive to accomplish this mission through recognizing, respecting, and providing for the uniqueness of each individual.
Walking through the grounds of Sharing Meadows, we are amazed at the many changes that have taken place since we purchased the land in 1991. From 185 acres of undeveloped farmland, the property has grown into a full community with roads, utilities, homes, a camp building, a swimming pool, and acres of lush landscaping. More importantly, it has grown into a community where other-abled adults can learn new skills, grow to their full potential, and share their talents with others.
The Share Foundation receives no government support whatsoever; we have always relied solely upon private donations and our own fundraising efforts to support our work. Our professional staff is augmented by hundreds of volunteers – friends, students, and professionals, who share their time and their talent while they learn and experience the value of other-abled adults.
